New portable for mostly everything

That looks great.
Imagine shooting with x4 XH G1s and recording to this at the same time.
This thing will be great for shooting features.
Too bad HVX200 does not havd HDSDI but do you think it would work with Hydra output, too?
 
I've been wanting something like this for a couple years now, able to record audio and video from different sources. Only I wanted it cheap and not nearly as heavy as my camera.
 
Report on HD for Indies states "price competitive with an HDCam SR deck".

FreshDV reports "easily beat the cost of a HDCam deck", whatever that means.

I'll bet pretty expensive.

Way too expencive, I guess they put alot of money into R&D.
How long will we have to wait for something to come out with a more realistic price. And to be honest with the way things are looking, the futre seems to be
HDMI capture card that you can plug into a laptop.
 
Depends on what your needs are. For the guys that need to record 4K, it's not too expensive, and HDMI won't do 4K. There are buyers for it -- it may not be you, but don't think there aren't people who can't wait for it to ship.

How long have they had camera decks out? They are still 10k or more. So I guess the answer to your question is, they'll keep making overpriced stuff as long as someone will pay for it.
 
yea, sweet jesus that's expensive... HDCAM SR decks are ridic.

i mean it's sweet but whatever, not for that price.
