New pocket size Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX50V with 1080p60 and optional OLED EVF

You can tell that most if not all of that footage (maybe even the stills) was taken with a far bigger more expensive camera with a supper 35 sized sensor.

Here's an actual video from the camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jwF-JjeHos

mmmmmm lovely blown highlights. Pretty much standard for a compact.

Very nice little camera , I have some questions to ask about it how, much manual control do you get/have on this camera?, is the front ring able to be used for focusing or/and zooming? The mic attachment are you able to input a mic or are you limited to the attachment mic it self? I wonder how it will stack up against the Panasonic DMZ200 as they seem very similar to each other.

I think you are limited to the Sony mic and I don't think there is any way to manual focus the lens. The DMZ200 is a much larger camera with constant F2.8 zoom. The HX50 is for someone who wants a pocket size camera with 1080p60 , Wi-Fi, GPS and a long 30x optical zoom .

With a 1/2.3" sensor, I wouldn't expect much from this camera. The RX100 is a whole different world... for 50% more $$$.
