New PC: the signal for the external TV doesn't come out

Hello, I have a new PC with Asus PRIME X299-DELUXE and NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti. I'm doing my first video editing with Edius workgrop 9 but I can't see on the TV the video of the clips I have on the timeline. I plugged an HDMI cable on the back of the GTX 1080TI video card and then on the other side of the TV's HDMI socket. I selected the HDMI resource in the TV but theere isn't signal. I'm not expert. Should I configure something at the software level?
Thanks for some info.

right click and then go to display settings. check to make sure the 2nd display is being detected.

I think you don't understand me with my porr english. I don't like to see the same screen I see on the PC monitor. I need to see only the image I have on the Edius timeline. But I understand it is impossibile. As Mark wrote, I have to buy a dedicated card.

I think you need to select your external preview display in Edius itself.
