Yes, that's the way I understand it; Canon uses 2:3 pulldown on the fly, same as Sony.
On the XHA1 they actually dispense with all pulldown and record a straight 24 frames. On the HV20/HV30 and their AVC-HD lineup, they add 2:3 pulldown.
