Hey.. i am a brand spanking new owner of a ... what else... dvx 100b. Does any one have any good suggestions regarding insurance? Also any links and suggestions regarding websites that post gigs for "shooters with their own camera"... thanx. BTW.. as a writer, filmaker and shooter... i freakin LOVE this site.
 
I thought they finally fixed the 'clunk' in the 100B. My 100A had it, but panny fixed it per the recall.
 
There's been some reports recently that the new DVX100B, with the titanium stabilizer rods, were defective. Just trying to see if Baba Soul inadvertently got one of the recalled cameras?
 
No, Jan was on here recently saying that there should be NO models of the 100b out there with the doomed power off clunk.
 
a clunk? nope. the only clunk i heard was the sound of my jaw on the floor when i looked at my credit card statement.
 
You guys are all wrong. The 100B experienced a clink problem, not a clunk one. It's all different because of double anodised titanium hollow rods which have been used instead of the plain ones on the 100A. Please stop confusing people...

I have a personal articles policy with State Farm Insurance. All you do is supply your camera make, model, serial number and cost to replace it new and your set. I have my DVX and every single accessory for it covered. (even the case) Great coverage. Very affordable. Check it out...
I've seen Craigslist.org and Mandy.com post gigs... never answered any though.
