I watched a very interesting film last night on HDNET (I think?), "Quid Pro Quo" by Carlos Brooks. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414426/

I find myself still thinking about it today...not only the subject matter, but the way in which it was shot. There were some really beautiful shots, especially in HD.

Has anyone else seen this one yet? Did you know about this weird sub-culture?

Haven't seen it, but it's the first HDNET movie that actually looks interesting and like a real film. My wife actually was going to write a script about a similar subject (people who voluntarily get limbs chopped off).

I've been hearing about this movie for weeks, and it never really interested me till i saw the trailer a few days ago. Just by the trailer, I'm now excited to see it.
