Hey there. Just joined, as if my title didn't already say that. Kind of new to film making. I help run a start-up travel and tourism website and we need a couple of video setups that we can use during our travels. Units need to be light, easily portable, need to have top notch sound (happy to spend a little extra on mics - maybe even wireless. Most of the video will be for online distribution (web) but would like to have it high enough quality for eventual further distribution channels (ie. getting the programs on to ITunes, Amazon, on DVD - flexible options).

Anyone care to sound out on a couple of options to start investigating?

Thanks,

D

Welcome. Unfortunately, not a lot of the more established members (including myself) spend any time in this section of the forums. My advice would be to post this same question in the "cafe" section of the forums and you'll get a ton of helpful answers.

That being said, by "couple", do you mean two? What type of shooting are we talking about here... B-Roll shots of the various places, or sit-down interviews with people, or walking and shooting the local hot spots and scenes? and, most importantly, what type of budget are you working with? we can help recommend gear for the smallest budget to the largest, but we need somethin to go off of.

cheers
