New Mac Lap Top Announced!

Well, I've got an old 550mhz G4 Titanium Powerbook, so I can just use the PCMCIA on that and network it to the new one. I'm glad performance will be 2x-3x in anything as I was fearing it would perform the same, just Intel-ified. Still gonna plunk the money down on a dual Intel processor tower setup though when it comes out, may pick up a new laptop too since I'm switching over to Mac. Waiting until my birthday during the summer. No new camera yet, waiting to see how this whole RED thing turns out! =)
 
According to Steve Jobs, performance of the MacBook Pro is 4-5x better than the PowerBook G4, and it has a 4x increase in performance per Watt. I think the lower power was what IBM couldn't deliver, and the main reason that caused Apple to switch to Intel.

I'm surprised at the performance increases, too. I'd like to see how the applications like FCP and Photoshop perform. If it's that much faster, maybe all the PC users will switch to Macs. (BTW, I'm a PC user).
 
I wish camera manufacturers were more like Apple. Bringing out there products 6 months early!

Now, what are your guesses for the release of the G6...or will it be called the MacMac (if they follow the PowerBook to MacBook renaming technique!)
