New Litepanels™ 1'x1'

We experimented with it briefly; works well and delivers nice soft light, but when dimmed it introduced a noticeable green tint. For $2000 you could buy an awful lot of fluorescent light. The LitePanel has advantages in its super-thin size, but for general purposes I'd probably go with the fluo.

Hi Barry:

Have you tried dimming the normal on-camera sized LitePanel lights? Do they also go green when dimmed?

Thanks,

Dan

I was on a shoot the other day when rapper "Lil Kim" was released from jail and there was another crew there that was filming a reality TV show and they all had Litepanels LED's on their cameras. Before Kim came out, I was talking to the DP and he showed me the light and it did not turn greenish when he adjusted the dimmer on the lights...Having finally seeing them in person, they are a lot smaller than what they appear in pictures.

I have to say, the classic litepanels is a king in not changing it's color all through the dimming range. I have no idea why the 1x1 does that...
