new letus extreme problems

Hi,
I have a few issues with my new extreme adapter. (HVX200)
1. screen inside is not aligned. I have read the faq and it is not very clear, please explain in more detail.
2. When I focus on the grain on the ground glass, the lens will not focus correctly. If I focus slightly off from the glass it is better, but still not perfect. Do I need to set back focus? I tried to do this, but there is so little movement in the attachment of the nikon mount that it makes no difference.
3. When I shoot with the adapter, all the footage has a vibration in it from the adapter. I tried to tighten the plastic screw things on the rail mount but one of them fell apart in my hands. Fortunately there is a spare, but it seems impossible to tighten this very well, it always seems to come loose. Is this why I am getting the vibration? Because it is not tightened up very tight?

I have a shoot at the weekend and have now sold my redrock, so please help me sort these questions out asap.

Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble but I don't think DVXUser is going to solve your woes. I recommend you contact Aaron (if you got it at LetusDirect) or Hien (if you got it direct from www.adapterplace.com). They will be better equipped to make a decision, particularly given the urgency of your situation.

Thanks, I have contact from Quyen at adapterplace about this, but am hoping to also hear from other dvx user people who may have user insight into these issues.

Yes, I found it impossible to fully tighten the height adjustment screw for the adapter rail support with the plastic head. Basically it stripped and just fell off when I tried to crank it down tightly to remove the play. Next, I tried using a hex key to tighten it down but upon closer inspection, it seems that the screw is slightly too long and will not tighten in all the way no matter what.

So, what I ended up doing is cutting off about 2mm of the screw. Using a hex key instead of the plastic head will then allow you to fully tighten the height adjustment screw just enough to the point where there is no play at all.

Worked perfectly for me...
