New JVC 4K camera

[vanvideo]

There was a new JVC 4K camcorder at CES. How'd we miss this?

The display model was the PX100 modified to shoot 4K. Who knows what the final product will look like, but it be under $2,000.
Looks like the AX100 has some competition. But if it has the same chip as the PX100, it will be a 1/2.3" size.

Looks like they added an electronic view finder which is nice.

The EVF has always been an accessory for the PX100.

I wonder if this is the same chip that's in the HMQ10?

Wait...JVC still make cameras?!

I'm assuming they'll get away from their 4 HDMI outputs for 4K playback. Otherwise color it a 'fail'.
