New iphone4 TV ads

[spidey]

I been watching those new ads so i decided to make a parody of them, because the acting is so unreal and dumb, plus all the news couldn't be great right?

plus for a while i thought the hand was a 3d model.

our video got featured on the front page of funnyordie.com so this is like a win in my book.

do you guys think those ads are weird or something off about them?

here's my video.

That's really funny... definitely well-done... perfect spoof... and yeah, TIMELY. I've been watching those commercials with one eye-brow raised... I wouldn't mind the perfect girlfriend who just happens to get her hair cut short but still acts demure and all cute... and just... perfect.

Thanks for doing this... somebody had to. I hope others follow your lead...

I had to struggle to hear the last word clearly though... (on a laptop).

[spidey]

oh yeah sorry about that haha. yeah im pretty stoked about it.

but yeah the girl in the haircut ad is cute, but here boyfriend just sounds so lame. do we sound that lame?

[Michael Anthony Horrigan]

Funny. I would love to do a few of these.

I have to admit though, the one where the guy becomes a new Dad, and his father a granddad, got me a little.

I still can't make it out?

But yeah, nice job makin on the homepage:thumbsup: that's pretty huge

[spidey]

well the punchline is: highlight to see> she has aids.

[Michael Anthony Horrigan]

For what it's worth, I could hear the punchline on my iPad. It does need a boost though.

[spidey]

yeah i listen to it on my iphone it sounds good, i guys the actress was so distraught with the news it makes it hard. lol.

sweet on the ipad!

it was actually fun to make,

what we did was shot it with my canon t2i with nikon 300mm lens.

position the actor in the right field dominance he was and angle the whole time. to create more depth from his face to the hand. threw up some work lights. shot both actors individual portrait style with my 18mm canon lens.

Then my vfx guy composited to the screen and tracked it. I created a facetime template which was hard to find. i have to find one then remove some one else that was there then create the template. he then used it and added the transparency.

so all in all, 1 hour shoot time, and one day vfx work. my guy was one his way to la an hour before we shot it so he had to leave soon after.

I appreciate more not for the story its telling it could be seen anyway, what ever, but for the fact i want to to try to replicate what they did, unlike the others i've seen who actually use facetime to film with.
