New iMacs up to 24inches!

i know, i get left out :(

but really, that size and that rez? makes for a pretty decent and cheap workstation for HD editing dontcha guys think?
 
The mac mini's DID get an upgrade today.

Will the new 24inch Imac run FCP smoothly? How about working with visual effects? I'd like to get the MacPro, but then I'd have to spend another $800 for a screen.
 
At those specs, i can ASSURE YO it will run FCP SUPER SMOOTHLY!!! Look at those specs!

I run a 2.0ghz Macbook Pro w/ 1gb Ram and 256mb video card and i get really great results from FCP. Color Correction and Flip filters on HD footage and it never has to render, that mac is 50% faster at the same clock speed because its the newer Core 2 Duo processor. ANd that screen is humoungous! ahhhh, i want one
 
Hell yeah it will run studio just fine. I'm running it on an older 17" imac as one of our office comps. It takes a long time to render but runs fine.
