How's Houston after the deluge?

Anyway, 2015 5K i7 iMac here and runs FCP X in 4K without a hitch. Rwally excellent machine. The new pro I think is only suitable for those that do a lot of rendering with computer graphics and can bill those hours, or those that are insanely rich. Would I like one? You bet. But not for now. I don't fit into either category.

Hey! Been a long while! We got super lucky where we live in Houston (NASA, by the water) in that because there was no big storm surge our bayou and lake sucked all the excess water out and saved us.

Glad to hear the i7 5k imac serves you well. I'm thinking more and more of going in that direction since it's "cheap" or at least cheap enough that it's a drop in the bucket after a few editing projects...and if I need anything super intense graphics wise I sure as hell won't be doing it myself.

What riches we have now, compared to the video toaster I started out playing with in highschool.
