Anyone have opinions on the quality of existing Beholder gimbals from Ikan?

I like the Beholders. Ran around with the DS1 for a while before all of the better gimbals started coming out...but it did its job.

Nice to see an upgrade and everyone adjusting the designs of their gimbals to show the screen.

Kind of insane how long that took, ha.

I owned a DS1 too, which was very nice for its generation of stabilizer. I own an EC1 which is pretty nice if you know SimpleBGC since they come broken out of the box...

I like the idea of the 45deg angle design for unobstructed viewing and for longer cameras/lenses and the integrated bluetooth which never came to the EC1, but I'm quite skeptical that the design will work properly for some situations. The "roll" axis mixes with the tilt and pan axis so it's unclear to me whether that will affect operation. Maybe it will fix some of the roll issue I've had with several gimbals when panning fast. One possible dealbreaker is the lack of 360 deg movement in the pan and tilt axes... seems like a step backwards.

That design with the payload of the Crane 2.... would make it possible to fly a stripped FS7 II
