New iKan 5" EVF / Monitor / Viewfinder models

let's talk profits. Oh, please! Canon, Sigma or Tamron are capable of making lenses (which include co$tly glass elements and electronics) for about the cost of a this loupe. And they are not losing money by selling them.
 
I had bad experience with brand new ikan D7W 7" LCD screen and waiting for replacement unit to see if it has the same issue. I was using with brand new F55 and signal cutting out randomly throughout day like a "loose cable" type of symptom except it would happen without moving the cable and other times you would yank on the cable to see if it was the cable but nothing would happen. Not sure 100% its the ikan, but just saying.
 
I had bought IKAN VX9 from some german internet store.. I had use it 4 times and then backlight went down..it was one yea after buying it.. I sent it back because it was still under warranty.. Now, after more thanyear ant the half ( I have sent it back in January 2012 ) and after hundred phone calls.. now maybe I will get the replacement LCD.. They want to send me IKAN D5 or D5w ( with me paying a little bit more ).. but I am scary to use it.. I don't want to wait another year and half if something is happen again..

Yes, Ikan sold me a battery plate for their 9" monitor. First of all, you could not even wrestle the battery in, or take it out without a screwdriver. Second- it did not even power the camera on! When I asked on line, they told me to call. After calling, I was on hold for 30 minutes. Needles to say the monitor went bye-bye on eBay. I will never buy again from Ikan. For that money, might as well but a new Convergent Design monitor and have something that works.
