Hey everyone,

Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I got my DVX100a a month ago and love it!!! I do have a question, does anyone know where i can download a PDF version of the manual, the one i got was in japanese :(

I bought it online, and it was out of NY somewhere, I got it for $3400 with a wide angle and telephoto lense kit, and a filter kit, extra battery, 2 aluminum cases and a nice tripod, not a cheap circuit city one.

There has been a LOT of discussion here at DVXuser about where to buy and where not to buy a DVX100. If you don't mind, could you be more specific about where you bought it and what kind of service you got?

I hate to tell you this, but chances are it's a japanese camera.  Look at your box and see if it says AG-DVX100AP, or 100A (no P)  chances are there's no P, which means it was a camera manufactured for japan.  Now that doesn't mean it won't work for you, since japan is NTSC, but it has no UL certification and you have no warranty.

How do I know this?  Because I did the same thing.

Don't be too sad though, you got a great camera.  (Although I doubt the lenses are any good)

Welcome to the board.

He might have a waranty, but it'll have to be shipped to Japan for service.
