Why the hell did we make changes ONE DAY before an important poll ended? You knew things might be lost (you even warned us). Couldn't you have waited one more day??!! Sometimes I think Jarred isn't even aware there is a DVXfest. Have you ever heard a single comment from him about it. No "Congratulations to (insert name)" or "Hey, great entries this month!" I know he needs to remain unbiased, but there's nothing wrong with showing support for the event.

I'm sure we'll end up loving the changes, BUT COME ON, what were you thinking??!! Couldn't it have waited ONE DAY??!!

Hey, P.K.,

I'm sure it was more a matter of Jarred not realizing about the DVXfest poll or maybe he knew and it was unavoidable because of scheduling. Jarred probably blocked out a chunk of time to do the update and he was really focussed on upgrading the board--realizing there would be some amount of disruption whenever it was done. I'm working on getting the poll back up and figuring out how to do it fairly. Despite my work on DVXfest , I'm really thrilled to have some upgraded forum software that's going to have long term benefits for everyone--even if it was in the middle of a poll. Jarred does support DVXfest, but I don't think he's had the time lately to watch the films and comment.

Ok, I've been testing the new polling functions and everything looks cool, except for some reason Hudson doesn't have permissions set to be able to vote in polls. So I'm wondering if it's just Hudson, or it's something that's currently affecting multiple users.
