I'm doing some tests today to see if I even need a macro with the hvx. I don't think that I will. How do the HVX's macro capabilities compare with, say, the DVX's? I've used both, but don't own either one and haven't tested macro abilities of these cameras.

The HVX has much better close focusing then the DVX

Thanks, Wayne. Well, I did the test. I will need a macro and I am not going to short change anyone. It will be the Century Optics, probably a +7. I think it will be a good choice. Once the wheels are turning and start manufacturing these things, I will look to a less expensive solution.

What is the length of the light path, from GG to cam?

About 14cm because the light path has been folded four times by the image flipper. I don't think I'll have any problems with vignetting, lol. The area is just a tiny bit smaller than super35 instead of the 24x36 that is the usual with these things. The DOF/FOV looks closer to 35mm film that way.
