Hello world-
I am a new film maker, and I just bought a Panasonic DVX 100a upon the recommendation of a few people. I also purchased a set of light equipment that has three stands + one boom. Two small umbrellas and 3 light fixtures that look like bowls (two large, one small) and use regular light bulbs. I can still return both of these things.
My camera came with three filters, including a UV and a polarizing filter.
I'm asking for help. I put a lot of research into this, and I still have a lot of questions.
1) I'm making films for festivals, will this camera be good enough?
2) Do I need a different lighting system? I paid about $250 for it.
3) I have no idea what kind of sound equipment I need.
4) I need an inexpensive solution to having an on-set monitor. Any suggestions?
Yea, I'm a newbie. I'm an experienced actor and stage director. This is my first attempt at making films.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice. I realize that I'm asking for answers that take a little time to put together, and I appreciate your time!
Thanks,
Ryan
