New Film School Opening!

Ok, there's a new film school that's opening. Needless to say it's not opening in the U.S. It's opening in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

I live in San Diego, CA, and planning on attending that school. As far as I know from a friend of mine (who's taking their Computer Science program) says that they're actually opening a new division of their school in Tijuana because they see it as a big position to make strong contacts with major studios.

They already have contacts with major studios for Video Games, Software, and Film. They used to only have a campus in Guadalajara.

They're also opening it there because there's Fox Studios Rosarito, which is about 40 minutes away from Tijuana.

So to any Spanish speaking people down on this side of the U.S. (southern california). I think this school is really cool, cheaper than in the U.S. also :D

They work with actual film, they also have HD cameras (dunno which ones though). And the staff REALLY helps the students out. my friend told me that over at his campus some students wanted to start a graphic novel and that the professor helped them get sponsors.

THIS IS REALLY GONNA BE COOL :D

Reply if you want more info. I don't know the site for the school. my friend sent me a .doc of what programs they teach. The info is in spanish so if you want me to post it i'll translate it really quick.

EDIT: www.3d.com.mx is their site, but according to my friend they're doing extensive updating and the new one won't be up till a couple of months. Because they want to add student projects and such.

i talked with my friend.

he said its like 30,000 pesos a semester, which is like $3k in dollars.
so compared to film schools in U.S. thats pretty cheap :D
