Happy Friday, y'all! I'm releasing a FREE FCP tutorial. It's not one that will totally change your life, but it is a lot of fun, and covers some quick tips for beginner/intermediate users. It is also specific to FCP 5.1.2, since it is based on a Motion FX Plug filter that FCP 5.1.2 now recognizes and can use.
It will show you how to get the cartoon effect quick and easy, like used in the movies "Waking Life" and "Scanner Darkly" without having to leave FCP, and how to get variations on that theme. This tutorial follows an actual project I had to do for a client recently. It can give your DVD menus an extra punch! Use this as an animated background during ending credits! Did I mention it's also just plain FUN? The file sizes are larger than I normally like to have for download-able stuff, but this is an eight and a half minute long tutorial.
It also covers the following techniques:
Paste Attributes
Setting Composite Mode to single and multiple clips
Inserting a transition to a group of clips at once
Duplicating clips in the Timeline with one mouse click
Enable/Disable tracks
Locking tracks
Compares "Studio Artist" to Final Cut Pro available filters
Use the URL below to download it. And expect the rest of my tutorials to come on-line very, very soon.
Info on the New Orleans Final Cut Studio Users Group first meeting will be out early next week, stay tuned!
Enjoy your weekend!
