New E mount FS960 coming ?

[joe1946]

A source just told me that there’s a new Sony FS series in the hands of beta testers now. Its supposed to be called FS960. It will do 4K at 60p, Full HD at 120p continous, and 240fps without buffer. Price will be 12K$. And its octagon shaped. LCD is placed at the “right place” this time. Looks like a monster of a professional video camera.I hope other sources can confirm this soon. Sounds like a real killer E-mount camera for film makers!

Then you might shed some light on what that this camera is then….

Here you go. The name FS960 was used because of the Sony Battery. NPF960.

The camera is real, the rumor and specs are 100% fake. It was a joke between two friends.

Interesting… guess Sony Alpharumor guy needs to update his portfolio of rumor sources But interesting non the less. A camera like that anyways would kill the FS700.

Kill the FS700 and the F5

So, in other words, it ain't gonna ever happen (assuming there really was a 960..which there isn't).

But an E-mount 4K cam? Hmm, I'd love that! I can see Sony putting out a VG series 4K cam someday.

It's a camera concept shown at NAB 2013.
