Hey does anyone else here have the new DV magazine with the Sony If it aint broke dont fix it pullout?

No, but a wonderful quote I got from another board related to the fact that the PD170 rolled off the assembly line with a hum in the audio -- if you have the LCD panel open, your audio will buzz, apparently.

its interesting.. the pullout lists whitebalance modes and it looks like it has white balance settings for each shutter speed.. I kinda would like to know what that is all about.

Looks like "if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and if it ain't correct, don't proofread it."
In other words, I'd bet a whole lotta money that that's a typo, and instead of "white balance" it should say "shutter speeds".

I originally thought that.. but there is no way they would release a brochure for mass distribution without going through a few proof/editors.. I mean it is Sony Professional. If it is a typo.. oh boy.

Sony's had a lot of layoffs recently. Maybe the proofreading staff went with 'em.

I'm going with Barry. It's appalling, the crap that slips through these days. Doesn't anyone know that apostrophes imply POSSESSION, not PLURALITY?
