I have the Osmo Action 1 and like it a lot (except the micro SD that is almost impossible to eject)
Looks like the Hero 11 Black is better in image quality but they are due to have 10bit in Action 3 in future.
Cost significantly less than Hero11 black

Here is a comparison between Hero 11 and Action 3

Buy gear for what it actually does today, not what it is promised to do tomorrow.

That being said, glad to see GoPro challengers. And with that being said, I hate all of the action cams. Producers think that they only take a few seconds to rig and that you can do it while you are doing 12 other things by yourself, too. Honestly, if more than one is needed, there needs to be a dedicated person that is only responsible for them.

Don't know if it can do log.
My Osmo 1 has never failed yet and I tend to use action cams for long events so heat shutdown is always a concern.

I have a bunch of Sony Action cams, and GoPros 5-9. As we've discussed before on another thread, I would gladly pay more for a better action cam. Like $1000 for a slightly bigger, with bigger sensor and long run time without overheat concerns but I doubt that will happen since most of the market base for these is consumers and not so much pro-sumers or pros.
Another couple years of these inflation causing policies and the GoPro may approach $1000 but that is not what I mean.

This test shows the Action 3 beating the others in overheat test. It never overheated, even at 4K 120. (69 minutes) the battery died first.

That’s been one of the biggest problems with at least the last four or five generations of GoPro’s. I’ve had them overheat and shut-down just during set-up, not even recording. If I provide a GoPro on a shoot, I make sure the producer/client acknowledges and agrees that I have no responsibility for any failures, lost shots, etc. from GoPro’s.
