I haven't read this page yet and I am not a sound guy, but it "sounds" like a good
topic to start a thread about. I just got an e-mail from Sound Devices about their
new control surface for the 788T, called the CL-9:

So... will this provide EVERYTHING you need? (of course, not everything, you still
need cables, monitors, cool boom ops, headphones, coffee, sleek sunglasses,
tape, the list goes on and on...) BUT... in terms of recorder, mixer, versatility,
channels... I mean... this system is a beast! You got a comfortable surface, and
on a moments notice you can unplug and go mobile.
I'd love to hear what real audio guys think about the 788T with all its new bells
and whistles, now including the CL-9.
