At first glance it seems to be the same sensor as the XF100/105 but the sensitivity has not been specified on the Canon USA site. Also, how useful is the extended DR range?

Not mentioned here is that it will record from two XLR external inputs , the 3.5mm jack and the internal mics simultaneously to four channels.

Docu-style reality shows are going to eat this camera up. It's a fantastic choice for B/Producer cam that will hopefully match color with C series cams.

They do sound great for that kind of work. For an application like that the price probably isn't a problem, either. But for those of us spending our own money, it's frustrating.

Only if IQ is greatly improved. For any low light XF100 is a noisy camera, and DR is really crap (even compared to something like 7D). Also XF100 has frustratingly crappy iris control. Not saying it's a bad camera, but there are some serious drawbacks. I really think 1/3" cameras are kind of becoming fringe market, pricing is also is also quite high.

I also really wonder how much 4:2:2 offers a single 1920x1080 chip. Three chips of the XF300/5 I think you'll get nearly everything you can off the chips, but I don't see it as much of a chip with these specs. It almost seems like 4:2:2 on paper only, as you might not see those benefits in your footage.
