New Big Zoom from Fujinon

I was pretty excited by this lens at NAB 2014 this year. A 25-300mm PL Zoom with integrated motors. Obviously this is a shot across the bow at Angenieux and if the optical performance is up to the standards of the premiere line or at least the cabrio line I think this will become a real workhorse.

We did a brief blog post on the new lens and have a video of it at NAB on our website here.

Couldn't find any info on pricing but I'm guessing around 60-70K. Also I'm guessing that at a 3.5 it should cover Dragon, but of course that remains to be seen.

$60k-$70k may be on the conservative side, considering most of their other 'studio' zooms are at or north of $90k. I got a chance to play with it at NAB and yes, technically it's a Cabrio because you can attach and remove the 'box of servos', but it's definitely not what you think of when you hear Cabrio, because of the 19-90 and 85-300 handheld zooms.

In another forum someone said they think it will be around 45K. I've got an email out to my rep at Fuji (the guy in the video) to see if I can get more info on pricing and will update here when I get some info back.
