New base-plate for DVX - screws??

Based on some earlier posts here I decided to build a new base plate after I cracked the tripod screw housing on my brand new DVX100A. I used 1/4 inch aluminum and cut it to shape. I have all the screw holes drilled including a 1/4-20 threaded for the tripod plate screw. My only problem now is how to re-attach it to the base of the camera. The 5 little screws that attached the original plastic plate are obviously too short. I need them to be 1/4 inch longer. does anyone have any thoughts on where I might find these screws? Are they metric?

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure you can get them at Lowe's (if you have one). If so, go to the hardware section and there in the blue drawers! Hope this helps!!!!

I will give that a try. I just assumed that a hardware store would not have such fine threaded screws.

Cheers,
Chris

We have a tripod plate for our beta-cam and dvcpro so I am pretty sure I know what you are talking about. What do you want to know about it?

try Ace hardware....they have an open selection of nuts, bolts, screws, etc. and you can try them right there for proper fit...........
