new Apple iPad A7's as reference monitors - WiFi capability

In the last months I've had my eye set on traditional 5-7 inch IPS reference monitors, but I'm starting to hear really good news about the new iPad's with Retina display.

I understand that the problem is protocol from both camera out signal, bandwidth, and the app receiving the signal all cramped into WiFi. Any thoughts?

Id be interested in knowing how viable this is as well. When you say wifi that means you would need to hop on a wifi signal wherever you are to use the ipad for monitoring? I cant tell you how many corporate offices ive been in wher they flat out wont give you wifi access and i imagine there are myriad other environments where that would be an issue too.
