Apple released a statement today about what they are doing to help the enviornment and they stated they plan to switch all displays to LED techonoly and start shipping new Mac's with LED's in 2007.

I imagine this will work nicely with the new touch screen technology I expect to be in Leopard. I am waiting for the next round of Mac's before I buy a new one (since I still use a Powerbook G4) and this is welcoming news.

Hey, thanks for the post, stoked on the article... So you mentioned you're waiting for the new round of mac's - as in a new tower? When do you think this will be? :love4:

The Santa Rosa processors are shipping this month (I hear the 9th of may), so that should update the Laptops and iMacs. I imagine the Mac Pro update should be no later than WWDC (I am hoping for a Black Mac Pro).
