New Amazon Alexa Commercial

???

Amazon has probably used these cameras for most commercials at some point after 2010.

It's just a coincidence 4-5 years later that their device has the same name. They chose that name because it's unique, it sounds nice, and the engineers liked it and linked it to Star Trek and the Library of Alexander and 'all knowledge' (basically you can ask her/it any question and she will know the answer).

I'm not 100% sure if it was used...but just saying it's a strong possibility.

If you like movies, most films you've watched after 2010 were likely shot with this camera or one of its brothers/sisters.

They all use the famous ALEV-III sensor that has been worked on for almost a decade. The ALEXA 65 uses three of them "stitched" together (A3X sensor), and their new 4K LF model - finally released last year - uses two (A2X sensor).

Probably less than 10% of those movies were film or RED (again, after 2010).

But if it was film, it may have been shot on an ARRI too! haha
