New Action Filmmaking Coming...

Okay guys, there's a new AFm coming. Those of you who have the original book, if you want to be mentioned on the back of this new one, give me a quick 1 sentence quote and I'll add your name and company website. I can only do a max of three quotes, two on the back and maybe one on the front (I already have one for the back). We've added a bunch of new stuff, the book is up from about 140 pages to about 240, plus the book will now be 6 x 9.

Sounds interesting. Never had the first one, but as someone always involved in action films, I might just have to buy your new copy. Keep me posted Nathyn, where to buy, price, etc.

Sure thing, but in the interest of full disclosure (I don't know exactly how much you've shot) it's a very basic book really for those just starting out, that's why it's priced the way it is and it's page count is below 300. I didn't want to overwhelm (or over price) but I do cover a lot. You may find some things of interest in there though. I was working on a big book but AFm is somewhat of a brand for us so instead of updating it and also making a bigger book on filmmaking I chose to lock down my brand. The big deal about this new book is actually the marketing section, but I did expanded the writing section and and I added a tutorial on poster creation. There's some nice stuff there. The book is still small (6x9) so it's not as big as a "text-book" and can be carried with you without a lot of effort.

By the way, I'd like to thank publicly thank Dvxuser Vito Da Vita for adding a great cover for this.

'Action Filmmaking' is one of three books I'd recommend anyone read before they start on their first feature film. Many of the books I read when starting out showed you how to make a film when you have money. They weren't much use when you have no money, but want to tell stories. That's where 'Action Filmmaking' comes in. Nathyn's straight forward approach gives the the nuts and bolts of how to actually go about making a film for no money. Everything is covered from turning your idea into a script, to what to do when you've finished your film (something not many books cover). If you actually want to learn how to make films, this is the book to get." Chris Tempel-STARS Pictures, Drift Entertainment

LOL, thanks. That may make the cover. I'm doing some more editing. After all the editing I found more mistakes. It's crazy.

Hey Chris, I used part of your quote on the back cover. I replaced the DVD verdict quote with this one.

Awesome news guys, the cover for AFm has just made iStock Photo's designer spotlight. This is my second cover to make it and I believe a third will be coming also.
