I don't care for 4k and neither do the clients. In fact most don't even care about HD .. I had one agree for content to be delivered on bluray and then complained they couldn't watch it using their dvd player..

98% of my client work is delivered on the web. Either public facing or back end learning systems. So I understand what you mean about 4K and clients. But downsampling 4K to HD or lower, that would be nice.

Things can pop. If Apple keeps being aggressive about Retina, the common folk will soon drool for more. Myself just got a x2560 monitor and hi-res is so much more the future than any 3D. People won't reflect over it, they'll just want it. Soon enough.
