Neutral Density Filters for the Brevis

Brevis reccomends using 4x4 ND filters instead of the cameras built-in ND filters to avoid highlight smearing.

what's a good ND brand that won't break my bank but will retain good quality?

You can sneak in your camera's ND filters generally with good results...but definitely test carefully first to make sure you don't see any light hazing. In general, we prefer to use the 4x4 filters out front and Cavision has some great pricing on glass ones that fit our mattebox well. Here's a few to start you off:

FG4x4GD/0.6 (0.6 graduated ND)
FG4x4ND09 (0.9 ND
FG4x4PL (Polarizer)

It's nice to have a set of 72mm screw on ones too for light rigging...but for adapter/rails/mattebox use, you'll never use them again.
