Neumann TLM-102 or Sennheiser MK416 for voice over???

I would skip the H4n altogether. Something along the lines of a Sound Devices usbPre would give you a nice clean input into your computer. You could even purchase a low end ProTools setup with interface and likely get better results than what you would with the H4n.

"What would be a good preamp device for the TLM102 or Sennheiser 416 then"?
> Sound Devices products are favored for location recording and would be a good choice for a VO work as well.. There's plenty of other non-portable mic preamps as well. Again, it's subjective and you usually get what you pay for so a few hundred per channel would buy something decent. But it still won't help much if the voice/talent is missing.
