I just joined MYSPACE a few weeks ago: www.myspace.com

So far I have met several models that are HOT I might add, several people that have shot and or directed Music Videos for Nationally signed artists and a host of other people on that site. I thnk you need to post a profile and join to contact anyone but its FREE!!!! I wanted to see what the hype was all about with that site and I am glad I was led to it. There is a whole big section on there in I think the GROUPS section about FILMMAKING and those people who either have an interest or are working currently in the business.

If anythng, just look at it as another way to network, to promote your project(s) or whatever you make of it....
 
Networking's some damn fun.
Hand out your business card.
But if you're networking make sure your around people who can use what your offer, or it may be just another wasted social event.
I've always thought you make more contacts with people at trade shows, for instance, by circulating than by exhibiting!
Anybody else on board here?
 
Yea I do a little of both...I don't give my card to any and everybody though. Just those folks who I feel are going to be serious in either working with me or needing my services and even then some of those people can even turn out to be shady as I have seen in the past.
 
And, apparently Yahoo has a similar thing now (Yahoo 360°). Haven't explored it, but it'll likely be another source.
 
I give my business card to anyone who wants one and to some people who don't want one. It's not who you meet when networking, but who THEY know. This is the leverage of networking.
