networking internet from pc to mac help

I managed to connect my pc to the internet and network the service to my g5 through ethenet cable before. All of a sudden the mac doesnt want to connect to the internet. I dont know if my setting were changed on my pc or settings were changed on my mac.
I know i have to set my pc to allow sharing of my service and i've done that, i've also set my mac to accept service from other computers.
Can anyone help out? this is the only way i can connect my mac online.
I need help.

Assuming the Mac is set to use TCP/IP, and you've got internet sharing turned on on the PC, it should work.

Ummm...well... WOuld you need a cross-over cable for that?

A much better solution, anyway, is to go and buy a router. They're cheap enough, and you won't be putting ony strain on the PC.
