Netbook and Onlocation

I was wondering if anyone has tampered with the idea of using a high end netbook to capture with Onlocation? A lot of these newer modled little guys are running SSD. One couldn't really use the atom processor but I belive there are a few out there with core 2 duos. Has anyone ever tried this?

I think lack of firewire and lack of a PCMCIA to get firewire would be your downfall.
There was this product I saw once in a thrift store, it was called PocketPC and it was a pc the size of a tissue box with firewire and video out, I dont know who makes it of if they still do, but you could use that with a portable lcd monitor maybe?
Or just get a used laptop.

You need a pretty macho processor and graphic chip to run OL without too much letancy.

I doubt that the throuput of any netbook I know will be enough.

I know it´s tempting thou.
