Nested Projects

Just out of curiousity, anyone know why nested projects take so much longer to render than plain ones?

I've got two .veg files, "ActOne" and "ActTwo". The first takes 5 minutes to render, the second takes 15.

Drop them both into a new project to get the whole film and the render time jumps up to...well, so far 25 minutes...and it estimates another hour before it's done.

I doubt anything can be done about it. I was just wondering if anyone knows what might be the reason.

If I recall correctly, there is only one marker at the end of one of the projects. I'll double check, remove any, and see what happens.
 
There was opne marker, like I thought. Removed and...no difference.

Tried this: added the 2nd project to the first, rather than adding both to an "empty" one.

That way the resultant render time is about right. (the 1st by itself + the 2nd by itself, more or less.)

Weird, yes?
