My first attempt at making a nerf gun into a movie prop. feedback would be great because I feel there is a lot I could improve on.

there's a technique called dry brushing where you get your brush wet with paint then brush it off on something till pretty much no paint is coming off the brush then you can ad hints of paint to the item you want to paint. this is a great way to age the gun by putting some silver highlights to make the gun look scratched or use some dark brown to add wood grain to the stock. i'd also go with black for the magazine as the silver looks like plastic painted silver.
