I just upgraded to vegas pro 10 64 bit and when I try to drop
neoscene avi files in vegas I get "None of the files dropped on vegas
pro could be opened". Curious if this is a known problem and if so is
it with cineform or sony? I have vegas pro 8 64 bit and they drop in
fine with 8...

You have to upgrade to Neoscene V5. The older version 1 doesn't work with Vegas Pro 10. Found this out this morning myself. And no it's not a free upgrade.

What the %&$^$#(&)^)*^)*&^)(_(%##!@#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the quick info.

More money down the drain.

Yes its a complete *****!

Thanks for the downgrade Sony. Time to look to the Adobe stable for actual worthwhile upgrades in future I think.

From what I have read, you no longer need Neo Scene to transcode, as Vegas 10 now handles the native files without any problem.

put a ticket in and ask for a free upgrade. I asked for it even though I purchased it b4 the cutoff date.

I've been transcoding and also dropping AVCHD and Canon H.264 MOV files directly into the timeline. I can't see a huge difference in rendering times, but V10 is very stable and fast it seems with AVI. So for very quick and dirty documentary style stuff, I'm just using as is, if I am doing anything with some quality needed, then I transcode.
