Need urgent help!!

Hi all,

I am currently in Bangladesh shooting my first feature film with Canon XH-A1 andLex adapter!! Unfortunately last night while i was cleaning the adapter one of the rubber-boot in the GG aluminium poles got broken!:embarasse What can i do now? I did mail to adapterplace. Hope they will send me some replacement rubber-boot. Meantime, what can i do to keep shooting?

Thanks.

It's not broken. Get a toothpick.

Push the post back into the hole as best as you can. You'll notice it won't just slide back in, that's what the toothpick is for.

It's hard to describe, but you just use the toothpick to help slide the rubber part back into the seat. A flashlight will help. Make sure you have some calipers, as the GG has to be 7.5mm from the body for an accurate picture.

ya, this happened to me, you just have to push it back in, eventually it will slide back into position and then you just make sure that the GG is flat even across.

You will know, because if it's off, you won't get an image at all. Pretyt easy to tel really.
