Need To Learn After Effects

Hey guys! I am a total after effects noob and I want to learn how to become fluent in it. What books would you recommend and/or courses? I have a gh1 on the way so I will be able to play around with some hd footage. Would you say that's an advantage or disadvantage when compared to standard digital? I know I could get away with more mistakes on SD than HD...I digress, looking forward to what ya guys have to say, thanks.
 
The first book I would recomend is the After Effects Apprentice. Great book and covers all the basics. I would also pick up some design books a the majority of ae work is moving graphic design. Also study up on typography. Everything else is trial and error. Good luck!
 
Make sure you read the reviews before purchasing from amazon. There was a not from one person who gave it a one-star because lack of DVD samples
