Need To Know....

I currently use my dvx to import footage, which i knowww is a bad idea becasue it wears out heads.. butttt, i have an older minidv camcorder... and i wanna use it as a deck... the only issue ive thought about is the tapes being panasonic, and the camcorder being sony... will the whole tape lube difference thing be an issue, and affect my tapes in anyway? Please help me understand the issues if any.

to my knowledge it wont effect the tapes to any noticable degree at all, just wear out the old cam heads slightly faster. which is better than putting your baby at risk.
