Need to find a heart

Im shooting a scene here soon, and I need a pigs heart, from the reading I've done its the closest thing visualy to a human heart. Now I havent made it to the two local butcher shops yet because I figured I throw up this question here first just to see if someone had any ideas or a solution. So here it goes does anyone know if I can get a Heart on the net? Frozen and sent to me? Is this really far out for a question. I know you can get just about anything. To me I'd think they could deep freeze it and the send me one. Has anyone had to get a organs, pig heart etc, and done it over the net. Because if I cant get it from the two places here in town I have to do it latex and work from my anatomy books and try to make one as best as from liquid latex, and I have legs, arms, and faceshel stuff to still do for this Canalism movie. If anyone can think of something, help me out. I've checked for Pig slaughter houses and there to far away. All I have is Motorcycle and I gont think I want to fit a cooler with multiple hearts in it and try to ride, I dont have rack on my bike and no saddle bags. heh. Help if you can.

Well I think a real ones out of the question..

..If you really had to.. aye a butchers would be best.

Forget the net searching, personally.

go to a butcher and get a pigs heart. Best to drop on a few days before and say younwant it with the tubes still attached, as hearts prepared to be eaten have the tubes taken off ....

Our local butchur gave us a pig spine once for an effect :-)
 
Haha, cant be too squeamish. Nothing too nasty about a pig spine. The butcher even let us watch him pull it out...
 
Hoarp-Badass, were you work from man? Hope my butchers as laid back as the guy in your town. Film is finally becoming a respected thing here in Michigan, exspecially were Im from west michigan/ in Muskegon.
lone smuggler- I dont think youd be able to be on our set, we are building a vest out of meat. Pig, sheap, and cattle parts. Its all getting cut and eating raw. I have a seen were the victim is wearing our lovely meat vest and the canable Bill takes a electic meat carving knife and cuts through a shirt and latex into a rack of ribs and carves himself up some lunch. haha. But i will deff go to the butchers and bug them till I can at least get a couple harts. My friend is a electronic engineer, and built me this little magnetic devise that will fit up into the hart, it is two different polarity magnets, and is connected to a toggle switch and the magnets when you flip the toggle pull towards each other so it will make the hart look like its still beating once it leaves the body, this is all if i can get my hands on a raw one. If not i have two magnets that move towards each other. Heh.

Yeah I've done that to Chicken feet. We just figured to do it this way because we can make it beat faster than slower. Can try it that way too if our way isnt getting the effect.
