Need source for universal charger/adapter plates

I'm trying to build a video light, and would like to use camera batteries to power it--so I need to find adapter plates that I can purchase separately. I use Canon, but I could make this thing to use Panasonic, Sony or whatever, if I could find a source for the plates.

Anyone got any universal chargers they like?

Again, I'm really just looking for the battery sled for the BP-9xx series Canons and other prosumer type camcorder batteries. Thanks!
