Need something to help achieve critical focus

I bought a cheap $60 viewfinder thinking it could help me shoot in the sun and it 3 time magnification could also help assist focusing. It works only okay. Even though it is 3 time magnification, I do loose some sharpness. So I'm just wondering if buying a lilliput monitor is going to help?

I just bought a 5" Ruige which is similar to the Lilliput and have tested it around the house. It should be better than your cheap monitor based on two things: Better resolution, and HDMI connection instead of composite (assuming your cam takes HDMI). The Ruige also has built in focus assist with remote button (hit once to zoom in, twice for peaking). I will be doing a review video soon. EDIT: review posted in this section

I need something that last at least a few year. Do you think the dp6 is good?

Yep, gets good marks from most owners.
You can do better but It's tough to beat at the price point . . .
They said at NAB that they were going to be running a special against the current bundle pricing (soon).
(There was a brief DP-6 special on the bare monitor during NAB).
