Just bought a JVC DV500. How do I get the best film like output from this camera? Used a Panasonic DVX100A before in 24P mode. I need to match output of the JVC to get it as close as possible to the DVX100A.

Not sure how you would do that with the JVC. It doesn't have 24P nor does it have the Gamma curves. You might be stuck trying to find the look in post with Magic Bullet.
