Need some HELP with lighting.

These are the lights I have. I use them with DIY scrims made with Ripstop cloth.

Not the best I know. I am shooting my Lossfest film in a Clinic that is all fluorescent. my question is: Would I use a 1/2 CTB gel to match the color temp of the Flourescents? I am also using a few china balls with 20 watt compact Flourescent bulbs as well. I am terrible at lighting. Thank you in advance.

I think those lights will work quite well in a fluorescent environment (since they're soft light sources). I would go in there before you shoot and find out what kind of fluorescents you're dealing with (they vary widely). You might find that they have a monster green spike and you need to add plus green gels to your lights for them to match.

It is a brand new facility. I am assuming the lights don't give off the green spike. I read somewhere on this site that newer flours don't spike green. I could be wrong.

Thanks for the info!

You need to get your hands on one of the globes and see what you're working with. Taking quartz-tungsten in any direction is easy, but you have to know what you're working to. It isn't just minus-green anymore!

Roscoe 3315 1/2 Tough Plus Green will add some green and bring Tungsten 3200k to flour temp. with 90% light transmission.
